Funeral services will be Monday, August 23, 2004 for 96 year old Lucy
McMath of Chester, IL who passed away Friday, August 20, 2004 at her
She was born to James and Amelia (VanVooren) Kerkhover on November 27,
1907 in Belgique, MO. She married James McMath, Sr. on May 3, 1924 in
Chester, IL and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include seven children, Cleo Shemonic, Hilda Diercks and
Gilbert McMath all of Chester, IL. Ramona Lolan of Red Bud, IL, Juanita
Bleem of Walsh, IL, Oscar McMath of Branson, MO and Wilbert McMath of
Waterloo, IL. One daughter in law, Alice McMath of Grassy, MO, one foster
son, Rudolph Pahich of St. Louis, MO. Two brothers, James Kerkhover of
Chester, IL and Thomas Venable of Ellis Grove, IL. Sadie Pahich of St.
Louis, MO. 23 grandchildren, four step grandchildren, 49 great
grandchildren, 11 step great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren
and one step great great grandchild also survives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sons, four
brothers, two sisters, two grandsons, two sons in law and two daughters in

Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester, IL.
Funeral services for Lucy McMath will be Monday, August 23, 2004 at 10am
at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chester, IL with Father Gene Wojcik and
Deacon Al DuBois officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials can be made in the form of Masses or to St. Mary’s Catholic
School in Chester, IL.
