Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 21, 2003 for 77 year old Anthony "Tony" Maes of Chester, IL who died Monday, May 19, 2003 at Memorial Hospital in Chester, IL.

Born October 1, 1925 in Randolph County, IL, the son of Louis and Anna (Postman) Maes. He married Dorothy "Dotty" Maes on November 22, 1952 in Piggott, AR and she survives of Chester, IL.

Also surviving are four daughters, Brenda Everding of Red Bud, IL and Toni Hornbostel, Terri Ann Maes and Charlotte Maes all of Chester, IL. Two sons, Bradley of Edwardsville, IL and Scott of Chester, IL. Two brothers, Art and Jimmy Maes both of Chester, IL. Four sisters, Leola Clasen of Chester, IL, Evelyn York of Ellis Grove, IL, Florence Ott of New Athens, IL and Romana Lofink of Granite City, IL.

11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, three brothers and one sister.

Friends may call after 4pm Tuesday, May 20, 2003 and after 7:30am Wednesday, May 21, 2003 at the Welge Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester, IL.

Funeral Mass for Anthony Maes will be Wednesday, May 21, 2003 at 11am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chester, IL with Msgr. Dennis Schaefer and Rev. Allen Maes officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials can be made to St. Mary’s School Endowment Fund.
