A memorial service will be Saturday, July 13, 2002 for 84-year-old Jessie Linton of Chester, IL who died Sunday, July 7, 2002 at Memorial Hospital in Chester, IL.

Born May 30, 1918 in Norris City, IL, the daughter of Hayward and Ruby (Edmonds) Smith. She married Quinton Linton and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Shelia Linton of San Antonio, TX and Sherry Frazer of Chester, IL. One son, Gary Linton of San Antonio, TX. Four brothers, Max Smith of Hanover, MA, Hayward Smith of Bourbonnais, IL, Phillip Smith of Bridgeton, MO and Larry Smith of Chester, IL. Four sisters, Sue Feezor of Herrin, IL, Betty Sparks of Johnson City, IL, Kathryn Lindsey of Aurora, CO and Ruth Ann Phillips of Beaumont, TX. Four grandsons also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and two sisters.

At the request of the family, Mrs. Lintonís remains were cremated.

Friends may call after 1pm Saturday, July 13, 2002 at the Welge Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester, IL.

A Memorial Service for Jessie Linton will be Saturday, July 13, 2002 at 2pm at the Welge Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester, IL with Chaplin Steve Keim officiating.
