Funeral services will be Saturday, April 6, 2002 for 80 year old Thelma Magers of Elgin, IL, formerly of Chester, IL, who died Wednesday, April 3, 2002 at the DeKalb Area Retirement Center in DeKalb, IL.

Born September 26, 1911 in Sedgewickville, MO, the daughter of Ruben and Susan (Niswonger) Statler. She married Robert Magers on June 14, 1931 in Chester, IL and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include one daughter, Anna Shimshok of Sycamore, IL. A brother in law and two sisters in law, Dan and Faye Magers of Chester, IL and Rachel Magers of Chester, IL. Three grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers.

Friends may call after 5pm Friday, April 5, 2002 at the Welge Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester, IL.

Funeral services for Thelma Magers will be Saturday, April 6, 2002 at 11am at the Welge Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester, IL with Rev. Martin Springer officiating. Burial will be in the Paradise Cemetery in Steeleville, IL.

Memorials can be made to the Mayo Clinic Foundation for Parkinson Disease Research.
