Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 29, 2001 for 83-year-old
Richard G. Vasquez of Chester, IL who died Sunday, August 26, 2001 at Three
Springs Lodge, Chester, IL.
Born March 19, 1918 in St. Charles County, MO, the son of Peter and
Rosalie (Sills) Vasquez. He married Mary Daniel on November 23, 1940 in
Raddle, IL and she survives of Chester, IL.
Also surviving is one son, Richard of Chester, IL. Four daughters, Kay
Fox of Belleville, IL, Ruth Vasquez of Peoria Heights, IL, Jean Vasquez of
Joplin, MO and Lynette Gerler of Mortin, IL. Five brothers, Daniel of
Chester, IL, James of Lenzburg, IL, Vernon of Granite City, IL and Aurelius
and Mark, both of Lenzburg, IL. Four sisters, Dorothy Leinecke of Rockwood,
IL, Anna Marie Rodgers of Independence, MO, Betty Vahlkamp of Mascoutah, IL
and Norma Bergkoetter of St. Libory, IL.
Nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Friends may call after 4pm Tuesday, August 28, 2001 at the Welge-Pechacek
Funeral Home in Chester, IL.
Funeral services for Richard G. Vasquez will be Wednesday, August 29,
2001 at 11am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chester, IL with Msgr.
Dennis Schaefer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials can be made to the WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C.
