Funeral services will be Saturday, June 3, 2000 for 86-year-old William
Mayfield of Chester who died Thursday, June 1, 2000 at St. Ann’s
Healthcare Center in Chester.
Born February 10, 1914 in Iron County, MO, the son of Walter and Arzie
(Asher) Mayfield. He married Myrtle Sellers on April 19, 1937 in Goodland,
MO and she survives of Chester.
Also surviving is one daughter, Jean Lindsey of Chester. One son, Jerry
Johnson of Maplewood, MO. Three stepsisters, Opal Trollinger of
Farmington, MO, Loretta Mayfield of Rolla, MO and Kay Roberts of O’Fallon,
MO. Three grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call after 4pm Friday, June 2, 2000 at the Schroeder
McClure Funeral Chapel in Chester.
Funeral services for William Mayfield will be Saturday, June 3, 2000 at
10am at the Schroeder McClure Funeral Chapel in Chester with Rev. Phil
Keeton officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Chester.
