Funeral services will be Saturday, February 26, 2000 for 46-year-old
Emily Carol Diercks of Chester who died Wednesday, February 23, 2000 at
Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
She was born November 25, 1953 in Chicago, the daughter of Charles and
Juanita (Duncan) Yates. She married Kenneth Diercks on October 28, 1986 in
Las Vegas and he survives of Chester.
Also surviving are two stepdaughters, Amanda and Laura Diercks both of
Chester. Four brothers, Roy, Louis and Rocky Yates all of Metropolis,
Illinois. Two sisters, Peggy Cromeenes of Metropolis and Sandy Cue of
Chester. Two half-sisters, Fay Piland of Springfield, IL and Kaye Beavers
of Evansville, IN. Her mother in law, Ann Diercks of Chester. Two brothers
in law, Kevin Diercks and Rodney Diercks both of Chester. Several nieces,
nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Friends may call after 4pm Friday, February 25, 2000 at the
Welge-Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester. Then after 10am Saturday, February
26, 2000 at the Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis, Illinois.
Funeral services for Emily Carol Diercks will be Saturday, February 26,
2000 at the Miler Funeral Home in Metropolis with Rev. Louis Brinker
officiating. Burial will be in the Old Home Cemetery in Eddyville,
