Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 17, 1999 for 79-year-old Lois McVicar of Chester, Illinois who died Sunday, November 14, 1999 in Chester, Illinois.

Born June 15, 1920 in Granville, Illinois, the daughter of Byron and Arvilla (Strack) Davis. She married George McVicar on March 18, 1945 in Dwight, Illinois and he survives of Chester, Illinois.

Also surviving are three sons, Allan of Chester, Illinois, George Jr. of San Antonio, Texas and Richard of Vienna, Illinois. Six grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. McVicar was a past Chester Women Club’s Woman of the Year.

Friends may call after 4pm Tuesday, November 16, 1999 at the Welge Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester, Illinois.

Funeral services for Lois McVicar will be Wednesday, November 17, 1999 at 10:30am at the First United Methodist Church in Chester, Illinois with Rev. Bob Chapman officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Chester, Illinois.

Memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church or to Hospice of Southern Illinois.

An Eastern Star Service will be held Tuesday, November 16, 1999 at 7:00pm at the Welge-Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester, Illinois.
