Funeral services will be Wednesday for 94 year old Richard Roos of Chester, formerly of
Columbia, Illinois, who died Monday at St. Anns Healthcare Center in Chester.
Born June 16, 1904 in Millstadt, the son of George and Mathilda (Rohr) Roos. He married
Barbara Schoenborn in November 1935 and she preceded him in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Grau of Evansville. Three sisters, Olivia
Hirsch of Fairview Heights, IL, Isabel Herrmann of Millstadt and Marie Quirin of Smithton.
10 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters and a son-in-law.
Friends may call after 4pm this afternoon at the Welge Pechacek Funeral Home in
Funeral services for Richard Roos will be Wednesday morning at 10am at St. Boniface
Catholic Church in Evansville with Rev. John Joyce officiating, burial will be in the
Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Columbia, Illinois.
Memorials can be made in the form of Masses
A prayer service will be held this evening at 5pm at the funeral home.
