Joseph Andrews

Funeral services will be Wednesday for 57-year-old Joseph Andrews of Rockwood who died Sunday at Memorial Hospital in Chester.

Born February 8, 1942 in Alton, the son of Chesteen and Josephine (Vickers) Andrews. He married Ruth Ann Lively on December 21, 1963 in Cutler and she survives of Rockwood.

Also surviving is two sons, Dean and Glenn Andrews both of Chester. One daughter, Carol Andrews of Springfield. Three sisters, Cynthia Dierks of Atlanta, GA, Nancy Dierks of Percy and Sally Polosky of Alexanderia Virginia. Two granddaughters also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father and one daughter in law.

Friends may call after 5pm Tuesday, February 23rd at the Schroeder McClure Funeral Chapel in Chester.

Funeral services for Joseph Andrews will be Wednesday, February 24th at 11am at the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Rockwood with Rev. Brian Law officiating. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Rockwood.

Memorials can be made to the Ebenezer Cemetery or to the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Emilie Kay and Gilbert Roehrkasse of Steeleville and Alma Fay and Leonard Lukasik of Wildwood, Missouri. One daughter in law, Lucille Uchtman of Steeleville. One brother and sister in law, Raymond and Margarete Uchtman of Long Island, NY. 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great great grandson also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call after 5pm Saturday at the Wilson’s Funeral Home in Steeleville.

Funeral Services for Elmer Uchtman will be Sunday afternoon at 2pm at St. John Lutheran Church in Bremen with Rev. Edwin Reuter officiating, burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials can be made to the Randolph County American Cancer Society or to St. John’s Lutheran Church of Bremen’s General Fund.
