Two Randolph County men sentenced to court supervision

Two Randolph County men have been sentenced to court supervision in Randolph County Court.

43 year old Douglas Matzenbacher of Baldwin, IL and 29 year old Ryan Stolte of Evansville were both sentenced to one year of court supervision for the offense of Criminal Damage to Property before Judge Gene Gross last month.

Randolph County States Attorney Jeremy Walker reports both of the defendants had previously pled guilty to an amended misdemeanor charge of criminal damage to property regarding the damage of numerous tires to an individual in rural Randolph County, near Walsh, occurring in March 2016.

The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office handled the investigation in this matter.

"Mr. Matzenbacher and Mr. Stolte had a disagreement with a former employer and damaged a lot of his tires in the process," said Walker. "Not the brightest of things to do, but it did not seem like the type of case to make someone a felon over. We had restitution paid in full at the time of disposition and hope we don’t see these two again."
