CGS Jr. High Band at Halloween Concert 2017

The Chester Grade School Jr. High Band performs at the Annual CGS Halloween Concert Tuesday October 31. The event was held in the CGS Gymnasium from 2:00-2:45 p.m. The group is directed by Sue Colonel. For their portion of the concert the Jr. High musicians played three Halloween tunes including, "Ghosts, Goblins, and Witches"; Skeleton Dance"; and Attack of the Cyborgs."

Sue Colonel, Chester Grade School Band Director, directs the 6th grade band at the CGS Halloween Concert. The 6th graders opened the show by playing three songs including, "Attack of the Garden Gnomes", "The Beast", and "Zombie Stomp". The performance was met with loud cheers and applause from the entire student body in attendance.

The Chester Grade School Concert Choir sang two very popular, spooky Halloween songs for their portion of the 2017 CGS Halloween Concert Tuesday October 31. The annual event is a student favorite at the all-school celebration at which time the CGS 6th Grade Band, Jr. High Band and Jr. High Chorus performs to "show-off" their hard work during the opening quarter of the year. At this year's concert the chorus sang, "Monster Mash", and Michael Jackson's huge hit, "Thriller". The entire student body was "thrilled" to hear these famous Halloween pop tunes.

The "HULK", otherwise known as Chester Grade School 6th Grade Band member Jackson Welge, plays his alto saxophone at the 2017 CHS Halloween Concert Tuesday October 31. The annual concert features the 6th Grade Band, Jr. High Band, and the Jr. High Chorus and allows them to shine playing music they rehearsed during the first quarter of the school year. Welge and Company performed three Halloween tunes including, "Attack of the garden Gnomes", "The Beast" and Zombie Stomp".

There was a packed house Tuesday October 31 when the Chester Grade School 6th Grade Band, Jr. High Band, and Jr. High Concert Chorus performed a 45-minurte Halloween Concert for the entire school. The annual event is a crowd favorite enjoyed by students, parents, teachers and staff. This year's concert was a huge hit! The bands are directed by Sue Colonel and the chorus is directed by Steve Colonel.
