Illinois resident claims $50,000 prize in Mo Lottery

A $3 Missouri Lottery ticket is bringing "Warm Winter Winnings" to a Chester, Illinois, resident. Donald Ruch purchased his Scratchers ticket from Midwest Petroleum, 12451 N. Highway 5 in Perryville, and later uncovered a $50,000 top prize.

"Warm Winter Winnings" is the $3 Scratchers game introduced for the holiday season. Players can enter any holiday-themed Scratchers tickets and eligible Draw Games into the Lottery’s "Second Chance of a Lifetime: Cruise into the Holidays" promotion for a chance to win cruise-themed trips to France, Alaska or the Caribbean, among other prizes.

The Missouri Lottery reminds players not to give Lottery tickets as gifts for children under 18 years old.
