Arrested Persons: Arrested Person: Sean C. Hager of Sainte Genevieve, W/M DOB: 04/13/1979 was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on four original charges of: Count 1: Passing a bad check-$500 or more-No account/insufficient funds class C felony. Count 2: Passing a bad check-less than $500 class A misdemeanor Count 3: Passing a bad check-less than $500 class A misdemeanor Count 4: Passing a bad check-less than $500 class A misdemeanor The Sainte Genevieve County warrant had a bond of $1,799.37set by Judge Raymond M. Weber. Arrested Person: Nathan James Szabelski of Perryville, W/M DOB: 07/20/1979 was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of: Count 1: Statutory rape-2nd degree a class C felony. Count 2: Child molestation –2nd degree-Previously convicted under chapter 566/displayed deadly weapon. The charge is a class C felony. The Sainte Genevieve County warrant had a bond of $20,000.00 set by Judge Raymond
May 03: Deputy responded to investigate a report of two tractor trailers on Interstate 55 from the 150 mile-marker. The reporting party stated that chickens were falling out of the cages and impacting the roadway.

Deputy responded to investigate a report of a stranded motorist on Interstate 55 between the 149 and 150 mile-markers. May 09: Deputy responded to investigate a report of a theft from a vehicle in the area of State Route Y and Enterprise Drive. Deputy responded to investigate a report of two canines possibly malnourished in the 22000 block of White Sands. Deputy responded to a request to check the well being of a person in the 22000 block of Mill Creek Road. Deputy responded to investigate a report of two canines running lose without collars in the 19000 block of Twin Oaks. Deputy responded to investigate a report of a school bus stop arm violation. This is a partial listing of activity investigated by the Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff’s Department. Except for arrests this report does not reflect actions initiated by our personnel rather calls for service only. Also, a criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
