May 12, 2008 SGMS gives back to the community Submitted article STE. GENEVIEVE -- The reason members of Reading Express are able to provide our community with excellent preschool books is because of the generosity and commitment of individuals, civic groups and businesses of Ste. Genevieve County. At this time Reading Express is grateful to recognize chairman Melissa Otto and sponsor Ste. Genevieve Middle School for all the time and effort devoted to bringing the circus to town. Ellie Bond’s Advisory Class at the Middle School also held a fund-raiser to benefit the program. Not only was the Kelly Miller Circus entertaining for families, but the money raised will provide children with books which can be shared in the arms of a loved one. The hard work which made these fund-raising events possible has not gone unnoticed. It is wonderful to have Melissa Otto, Ellie Bond and Ste. Genevieve Middle School backing our program and supporting its efforts to benefit our community with hardbound books for years to come.
