A funeral will be held Monday, January 11, 2010 for 85-year-old Elmer X. Naeger of Ste. Genevieve who died January 7^th at Riverview at the Park Care and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born November 14, 1924 in Ozora, son of John and Rose (Bahr) Naeger who both preceded her in death.

He married Mary Ellen Stackle. She preceded him in death.

He is survived by his children: Rose (Sam) Hughey of Ste. Genevieve, Gloria Thomure and special friend, Markus Ray of Sedgewickville and David (Bev) Naeger of Ste. Genevieve; grandchildren: Laura, Rebecca, Nathan, Kevin, Pamela, Krista, Darren and Ryan; and great grandchildren: Dennis, Shelby, Madison, Dakota, Evan, and Bubby. Other relatives and friends also survive.

He was also preceded in death by a brother: Francis Naeger; and one sister: Elizabeth Bert.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of V.F.W Post 2210, American Legion Post 150 and Knight of Columbus Council No. 1037.

Visitation will be 4-8 pm Sunday, January 10, 2010 at the Wood Family Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral mass for 85-year-old Elmer X. Naeger will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, January 11, 2010 at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Dennis Schmidt will officiate. Burial will follow with military honors at Valle Spring Catholic Cemetery.
