A funeral will be held Saturday, January 9, 2010 for 88-year-old Devota L. Schmelzle of Ste. Genevieve, who died Thursday, January 7^th, 2010 at her residence.

She was born June 1, 1921, in River Aux Vases, the daughter of Sylvester Thomure and Philomena (Stoll) Thomure who both preceded her in death.

She married Raymond Schmelzle on April 9^th, 1940. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by:

Son-James "Goose" (Rosie) Schmelzle of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.

Son-Kenny (Gloria) Schmelzle of River Aux Vases, Mo.

Daughter-Elizabeth Schmelzle of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.

Daughter-Mary Ann Logue of Cape Coral, Fla.

Brother-Floyd (Dot) Thomure of St. Louis, Mo.

Brother-Norman (Netta) Thomure of Zell, Mo.

Sister-Pearl Huck Fellows of Perryville, Mo.

Sister-Rosemary Boyer of St. Louis, Mo.

Sister-Esther Davis of Kimmswick, Mo.

She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren

Visitation will be at Basler Funeral Home on Saturday, January 9, 2010 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 a.m.

Service will be held at St. Joseph Church, Zell on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. The Clergy will be Msgr. James Hanson

Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, in Zell

She was a member of St. Elizabeth Sodality
