Lutheran Center features holiday ‘Walk in the Woods’

ALTENBURG -- The fourth Annual "Luther's Indoor Walk in the Woods" is being presented now at the Lutheran Heritage Center and Museum in Altenburg,

It features more than 30 themed Christmas trees, a Nativity Scene collection and a wonderful new nutcracker display.

New trees this year include: a nautical tree with all of the names of the 1839 Saxon Lutheran immigrants to Perry County who crossed the Atlantic and landed in New Orleans; a "We 3 Kings" tree, an antique postcard bronze tree, a nutcracker tree, a Ladies Aid pink/silver tree; and much more.

The Lutheran Heritage Center and Museum in Altenburg are open daily from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., 75 Church St., Altenburg,
