Emerson Congressional Connection Schedule Cong. Emerson's office WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) today announced that her staff will visit with constituents throughout the Eighth District at Congressional Connection stops. "Folks need to be able to meet one-on-one with a member of my staff every so often to discuss casework as well as the issues facing us in Southern Missouri. The Congressional Connection program gets staff out of the office and into communities where they can have these types of meetings on a drop-in basis," Emerson said. "The staff member in most cases will be back in the office by the end of the day and able to pass along the result of these meetings to me as soon as possible." Emerson has four offices in the Eighth Congressional District, in Cape Girardeau, Farmington, Rolla and West Plains. Staff members from each office will be responsible for the Congressional Connection program in their respective region, establishing a closer connection between constituents and the staff members who normally serve them.
