Two persons hurt in I-55 crash Missouri State Highway Patrol JEFFERSON CITY -- Two 57-year-old Perryville residents were hurt in a traffic crash Sunday night on I-55 in Perry County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Brad H. Weber suffered serious injuries and was flown by Air Evac helicopter to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau and Rita A. Weber suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. The patrol says the crash happened when the northbound car Rita Weber was driving was struck by a northbound car driven by 64-year-old Betty Y. Taggart of Ballwin as it attempted to return to the outside lane after passing the Weber car. Taggart was not hurt. Both vehicles came to rest in the median. The crash happened about 7:55 p.m. at the 122 mile marker. The patrol says everyone was buckled up. |
