Perryville teens hurt in Illinois crash Southern Illinoisan CARBONDALE -- Two Perryville residents were among four persons hurt in a traffic crash Saturday on Illinois Route 13 in Williamson County, Illinois. According to a report in the Southern Illinoisan newspaper, 18-year-old Crista Elizabeth Schremp had major injuries and 18-year-old Maggie Renee Sims had minor injuries. Both were taken to Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. The two other persons hurt in the crash were 71-year-old Annette Head, who had major injuries and 68-year-old Herschel Head, who had minor injuries. Both are from Carbondale and both were also taken to Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. The newspaper reports Sims was the driver of a passenger car and attempted to turn left onto Haven Point when the car collided with an SUV driven by one of the occupants. The article says Sims was cited for failing to yield while turning left. |
