Franklin ‘Buck’ Boland

A funeral will be held Thursday, February 11th, 2010 for 74-year-old Franklin "Buck" Boland of Minnith who died February 5, 2010 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born March 20th, 1935 in Ste. Genevieve County, son of Anderson Clay and Virgie V. (Kennon) Boland. His father preceded him in death. His mother survives in St. Mary.

He married Evelyn Rayoum. She preceded him in death on December 12, 1990.

He married Betty Petty on June 7, 1992. She survives in Minnith.

He is also survived by four sons: Franklin Boland Jr. of St. Mary, Thomas (Karen) Boland of Minnith, Dale (Alice) Boland of Perryville, Jeff (Paula) Boland of St. Mary, Bradley (Stephanie) Boland of St. Mary; one daughter: Lisa (George) Kramer of Perryville; 12 brothers and sisters: Vernetta (Francis) Shuh of St. Mary, Deric (Margie) Boland of St. Mary, Larry (Sandy) Boland of St. Mary, Wayne (Debbie) Boland of Perryville, Robert (Lauren) Boland of Fredericktown, June (Edward) Geiler of Ste. Genevieve, Jean (Alfred) Vogt of St. Mary, Linda (Herb) Johnson of St. Mary, Gail (Cecil) Pittman of Perryville, Kathy Pittman of Perryville, Vickie (Felix) Winston of Anniston, Alabama and Patsy Bowen of Perryville; 16 grandchildren: Craig, Tyler, Renee, Tiffany, Emily, Thomas, Christopher, Cody, Jennifer, Michael, Pamela, Damien, Brandon, Colte, Cameron and Brianna and nine great-grandchildren, Cierra, Jake, Jace, Drew, Deandra, Abigale, Jason, Koby and Diandra.

He had been a farmer and member of Brushy Baptist Church.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, February 10th, 2010 and 6:30-10 a.m. Thursday, February 11th, 2010 at Young and Sons Funeral Home.

A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 11th, 2010 at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville for 74-year-old Franklin "Buck" Boland of Minnith. The Rev. Jim Holifield will officiate.

Burial will be in Brushy Creek Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Family or Charity of Choice.
