Edward Dale Prost Sr. A funeral will be held Wednesday, February 10th, 2010 for 87-year-old Edward Dale Prost Sr. of Perryville who died February 6, 2010 at Independence Care Center of Perry County. He was born December 14th, 1922 in Perryville, son of the Edward William and Hilda Alma (Unverferth) Prost who both preceded him in death. He married Irene Catherine Hennemann on May 3, 1947. She survives in Perryville. He is also survived by three daughters: Mary Susan and Nicholas Tibbs of Fruitland, Laura and Floyd Wahler of Perryville, Jeanette and Allen Buchheit of Cape Girardeau; two sons: William and Bonnie Prost of Perryville and Edward D. and Paula Prost Jr. of Omaha, Nebraska; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by three brothers: Adrian, Linus and Lee Prost; three sisters: Catherine Brewer, Vivian Zoellner and Aurelia Wood; and one grandson: Scott Nuyt. He was a retired aircraft supervisor at Rockwell International. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, K of C 3rd Degree Council 1263. He was a US Army Air Corp veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 133. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 9th, 2010 and 6:30-9:20 a.m. Wednesday, February 10th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. A K of C and Parish Wake will be held at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday and the Rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. A funeral for 87-year-old Edward Dale Prost Sr. of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 10th, 2010 at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Charles E. Prost CM will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery with military graveside honors provided by American Legion Post 133 and the Delta Team. Memorials are preferred to St. Vincent School or Birthright. |
