Alice J. Stark

A funeral will be held Tuesday, February 9th, 2010 for 79-year-old Alice J. Stark of Perryville who died February 6, 2010 at Independence Care Center of Perry County.

She was born June 26th, 1930 in Bollinger County, the daughter of the Albert and Myrtle A. (Conrad) Yount who both preceded her in death.

She married Conway E. Stark on May 5, 1951. He preceded her in death on April 9, 1996.

She is survived by two sons: Kenneth (Lisa) Stark and Alan (Brenda) Stark both of Perryville; one daughter: Janice (Randy Joseph) Hoffman of Dexter; one sister: Ruth Smith of Camdenton; seven grandchildren: Kellen P. Stark, Conner E. Stark, Angela M. Sauer, Matthew A. Stark, Kristi L. Boles, Julie A. Hoffman and Cory G. Hoffman and three great-grandchildren: Haley DuBois, Ryder Boles and Peyton Boles.

She was also preceded in death by a brother: Everett Yount; and four sisters: Lulu Glass, Mildred Fischer, Mary Kathryn Ochs and Ollie Yount.

She had been an insurance sales representative supervisor for Royal Neighbors of America Insurance Co.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Perryville Country Club and Ladies Golf Association.

She was the co-organizer of Perryville Country Club Ladies Golf Association, was an avid golfer, a past Girl and Boy Scout leader and a member of the American Legion Post 133 Ladies Auxiliary.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, February 8th, 2010 and 6:30-10 a.m. Tuesday, February 9th, 2010 at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral for 79-year-old Alice J. Stark of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 9th, 2010 at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. The Rev. Matthew Marks will officiate.

Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Perryville.

Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran School Building Fund or to the American Cancer Society.
