Funeral services will remain private for 84-year-old William H. "Pete" Winkler of Perryville, who died Monday, January 11th, 2010 at his home.

He was born October 8th, 1925 in Whitewater, the son of John Thomas Winkler and Sarah Jane Eddleman Winkler, who preceded him in death.

He married Alince Aleen Hendrix on July 27th, 1946, and she preceded him in death.

He is survived by two daughters: Donna Shadron and JoAnn Overbey, both of Perryville; a son, Del Winkler of Perryville; a sister, Ila Niswonger of Jackson; eight grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five sisters and one son.

He was a World War II Army Veteran, receiving a Bronze Star. He was a member of the V.F.W., and the American Legion. He had been a self employed carpenter.

All services are private.
