A funeral will be held Thursday, July 2^nd, 2009 for 96-year-old Rudy Buchheit of Biehle who died Monday, June 29, 2009 at his residence.

He was born July 2, 1912 in Apple Creek, son of the late Joseph and Theresia (Sauer) Buchheit.

He married Zanaida Zahner on September 2, 1935. She preceded him in death on May 13, 1971.

He married Irma (Bohnert) Ernst on December 29, 1978. She preceded him in death on April 30, 2009.

He is survived by seven daughters: Donna and Paul Hoeckele of Perryville, Karen and John Koeper of Bridgeton, Jane and Bill Sell of Petaluma, California, Peggy and Richard Wince of Kirkland, Illinois, Jill and Jim Rathe of Philo, California, Cherri Bertrand of Jackson, and Kim Anderson of Redwood City, California; four sons: Jerry and JoAnn Buchheit and Kenny and Rhonda Buchheit all of Biehle, Dr. Michael and Sue Buchheit of St. Peters, and Jim and Sandi Buchheit of Anna, Illinois; a sister: Lorene Kutz of Perryville; thirty-four grandchildren: Cindy Sandler, Rick Buchheit, Chris Buchheit, Tim Buchheit, Nick Buchheit, Kristi Hahs, Jon Buchheit, Doug Buchheit, Amy McCabe, Jeff Buchheit, Kate Buchheit, Julie Metzger, Patty Wengert, Paul Hoeckele, Joe Hoeckele, Ann Baer, Scott Buchheit, Jason Buchheit, Jeremy Buchheit, Heather Buchheit, Josh Buchheit, Jennifer Buchheit, Lisa Stoecklin, Laurie Klaesner, Angie Reitenbach, Sara Koeper, Alex Sell, Elizabeth Sell, Lauren Sell, Elizabeth Wince, Rachel Wince, Anna Wince, Emily Wade, and Andrew Bertrand, fifty-three great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by, one infant son: Neal Buchheit, four brothers: Barney, Albert, Walter and Otto Buchheit; two sisters: Helen Schott Welker and Louise Buchheit, two infant grandchildren: John Hoeckele and Dominique Wince and one great-grandchild Nicholl Buchheit.

He was the founder of Buchheit’s Stores and a devout member of St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle.

Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 1^st and 6:30-10 a.m. Thursday, July 2^nd at St. Maurus Catholic Church Hall in Biehle. A parish wake will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday. There will be an all night Adoration Vigil.

A funeral mass for 96-year-old Rudy Buchheit of Perryville will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 2^nd at St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle. The Rev. Tony Dattilo will officiate. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to St Maurus Church Building Fund, Southeast Hospice or Missionary of Charity.
