Leo J. Macke A funeral will be held Friday, June 19th, 2009 for 74-year-old Leo J. Macke of Biehle, who died Monday, June 15, 2009 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. He was born in Wilhelmina on August 24, 1934 son of the late Henry H. and Frances (Seiler) Macke. Survivors include his companion and best friend, Faye Deem of St. Louis; three brothers: Henry W. and Pauline Macke of Imperial, August "Dude" and Lura Macke of St. Ann, Robert Macke of West Milton, Ohio; two sisters-in-law; Mabel Macke of St. Paul and Wanda Macke of St. Ann; a brother-in-law: Robert Kirchner of Biehle and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Ann Kirchner and Agnes Dunn; two brothers: Adolph and Charles Macke and a brother-in-law: Charles Dunn. He retired from Owens Illinois Plastic Plant 81 in St. Louis. He was U.S. Navy veteran, member of AmVets Post 94 and member of the Catholic faith. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Thursday, June 18th and 6:30-9:30 a.m. Friday, June 19th at the Young and Sons Funeral Home. A funeral for 74-year-old Leo J. Macke of Biehle will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 19th at St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle. The Rev. John Fortenberry will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Masses. |
