A funeral will be held Friday, May 29^th, 2009 for 93-year-old Marie S. Gibbar of Perryville who died Friday, May 22, 2009 at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born October 29, 1915 in Perry County, the daughter of the late William and Theresa (Gebhardt) Schnurbusch.

She married to Hubert "Dutch" Gibbar on September 28, 1940. He preceded her in death February 12, 1973.

She was a bookkeeper for Hubert Gibbar Coal Hauling.

Survivors include two daughters: Glenda (Gerald) Beckerman of Bridgeton and Doris (Jim) Seabaugh of Biehle; one son, Robert Gibbar of Perryville; two brothers, Homer Schnurbusch of Cape Girardeau, Ralph Schnurbusch of Farmington, eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Howard and Simon.

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality.

A Memorial Mass for 93-year-old Marie S. Gibbar of Perryville will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2009 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Milton Ryan will officiate.

Memorials are preferred to the Miraculous Medal Office in Perryville or Our Lady of the Snow in Belleville, Illinois.

The Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville provided the arrangements.
