A funeral will be held Saturday, May 23^rd for Helen L. Thompson of Perryville who died Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville.

She was born June 18^th, 1922 in McBride, daughter of the late Elliott and Rosa (Yeager) Anderson. She married Eugene Thompson April 15, 1939. He preceded her in death on November 30, 1991.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Bernadine Thompson; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Kenny Koeberl all of Perryville, and seven grand-children: Jeff and Scott Brewer, Tracie Hotop, Eugene and Amy Thompson, Becky Antonellis and Cindy Ponder.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law: Judy and Earl Brewer, one sister: Leona "Sis" Boxdorfer and three brothers: Thomas, Charles and Joseph Anderson.

She was a retired inspector at Prince Gardner, homemaker and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, May 22 and 6:30-10 a.m. Saturday, May 23 at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral for Helen L. Thompson of Perryville will be held at the Young and Sons Chapel on Saturday, May 23 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Joe Williams officiating.

Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Southeast Hospice or St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Schools.
