Barbara Jean Sietz Guth, 78 of Perryville died Saturday, May 9, 2009 at her daughter's home in Crestwood, Mo.

She was born May 11, 1930, in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Bernard and Janice Jones Sietz.

She and Harry Guth were married July 28, 1950, in Cape Girardeau.

She grew up in Cape Girardeau and graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High School. She had been a very active member of the Perryville community.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Mark Guth; wife, Andrea of Pacific Palisades, Calif.; two daughters, Marlene Guth of Crestwood, Vicki Guth of Brentwood, Mo.; a brother, Ronnie Sietz of San Antonio; four grandchildren, Jeanie and Elizabeth Ahsmuhs and Nichols and Beckett Guth.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jerry Sietz.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. today at the Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Craig King will officiate.

Burial will be at Home Cemetery in Perryville.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
