A funeral will be held Tuesday, May 5^th, 2009 for 70-year-old August M. Sticht Jr. of Altenburg, who died Saturday, May 2, 2009 in Perryville.

He was born in Perry County January 30, 1939, son of the late August and Paula (Stelling) Sticht Sr. He married Mary A. Stueve on August 15, 1970. She survives in Altenburg

She is also survived by a daughter and son-in-law; Melissa and Paul Hayden of Perryville, two sons and daughters-in-law; David and Jennifer Sticht and Kevin and Amanda Sticht all of Altenburg, one brother and sister-in-law; Alvin and Lillie Sticht of Perryville, two sisters and one brother-in-law; Mildred Kleinheider of Frohna and Thelma and Willis Haertling of Jackson and seven grandchildren; Tyler, Thomas and Alex Hayden and Paula, Chance, Emily and Austin Sticht.

He was also preceded in death by an infant sister: Ruth.

He was a retired mechanic for Altenburg Hardwood and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, May 4^th and 6:30-8:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 5^th at Young and Sons Chapel.

A funeral for 70-year-old August M. Sticht Jr. of Altenburg will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 5^th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg. The Rev. Steven Dressier will officiate.

Burial will be in the church cemetery

Memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran School in Perryville, MO.
