Patrick E. Hughey Patrick E. Hughey of Farrar, MO died Monday, April 13, 2009 at Perry Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation in Perryville, MO. He was 75.
Mr. Hughey was a self employed machinist, mechanic and logger. He was born July 1, 1933 at Seventy-Six, MO, son of the late Abraham and Ruth (Rhyne) Hughey. He was married on July 25, 1953 to Bertha (Stricklin) Hughey who survives in Farrar, MO. Other survivors include one son Sam (Rose) Hughey of Ste.Genevieve and one daughter Rita (Mark) Diamond of Perryville, one sister Gladys Ruess of Perryville, two brothers, Enos (Selena) Hughey of Brazeau and Reno (Ruby) Hughey of Dover, AR. Also surviving are five grandchildren Laura and Rebecca Hughey of Ste. Genevieve, Nathan Hughey of Springfield, Ian and Hayley Diamond of Perryville and three great grandchildren. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar and was a Army Veteran of Korean War Era. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and one sister. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred for family use. Visitation for Mr. Hughey will be held at Young & Sons Chapel on Wednesday, April 15th from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and on Thursday from 6:30 – 8:00 AM. Funeral Service for Mr. Hughey will be held at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar on Thursday, April 16th at 10:00 am with Rev. Roger Abernathy officiating. Burial will be in the Shiloh Cemetery with Military Graveside Service provided by American Legion Post 133 and Delta Team. Young & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. in Perryville, MO provided the arrangements. |
