Freddie Thomas

Freddie Mae Hohenadel Thomas of Perryville died Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Independence Care Center of Perry County. She was 87.

She was born November 2, 1921 in Indianola, MS., the daughter of the late Roy J. and Bessie (Dickerson) Allen.

She was married to Sidney Hohenadel in September 1945, he preceded her in death March 21, 1977. She then married George Thomas on September 11, 1987 and he survives in Perryville.

Mrs. Thomas was a Dietician at an Elementary School.

Other survivors include one son Ronald (Patricia) Hehenadel of Perryville, and four brothers, John W. Allen of Gulfport, MS., Robert E. Allen of Magee, MS., Lamar Allen of Lake Village, AR., Gene Allen of Rogersville, AR. Also surviving are three grandchildren Emily (Steve) Richardson, Joanna (Andi) Rozier and Ryan (Gloria) Hohenadel, six great grandchildren Caleb, Jacob, Joshua Richardson, Samuel and Ben Rozier, and Jonas Hohenadel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, three brothers, L.C., Billy, and Wayne Allen and one sister, Maude Ethel.

Mrs. Thomas was a member of Maranatha Assembly of God Church.

Memorials are preferred for Perryville Presbyterian Church Food Pantry.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 18th at Boone-Wells Funeral Home in Greenville, MS.

The Funeral Service for Mrs. Thomas will be held at Boone-Wells Funeral Home in Greenville, MS, on Saturday, April 18th at 1:00 pm with Rev. L.C. Cunningham officiating.

Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Greenville, MS.
