A funeral will be held Thursday, April 15^th, 2009 for 91-year-old Cecilia M. Gibbar, formerly of Perryville, who died April 5^th, at Parkside Meadow Nursing Center in St. Charles.

She was born April 23, 1917 in Lithium, the daughter of Henry L. Maddock and Magdalen M. Brewer Maddock, who both preceded her in death.

She married Percy J. Gibbar, Sr. October 25, 1941 in Brewer, he preceded her in death.

She is survived by three Sons: Ronald Sue Gibbar of Okotoks, Alberta, Canada, Percy and Julie Gibbar of Joshua Tree, California and David and Gayle Gibbar of St. Louis and Sharon and Ron Rahn of St. Charles; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters

She was a homemaker and member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, V.F.W. Ladies Aux. Post 4282; Western Catholic Union, and Senior Citizens Perry Comp Club.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 14 and from 6:30-9:50 a.m. Wednesday, April 15th at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and the Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home.

A funeral Mass for 91-year-old Cecilia M. Gibbar will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 15 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial will be the Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Heartland Hospice.
