Eldon Moore

Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, November 20th, 2008 for 80-year-old Eldon Moore of Perryville, who died Monday, November 17th, 2008 in Perryville.

He was born September 22nd, 1928 in Perryville, the son of Leonard and Edith (Nehouse) Moore. They preceded him in death.

He married Theresa Unterreiner February 2nd, 1952 in Apple Creek. She survives in Perryville.

He is survived by a daughter, Tina Aden of Perryville; a son, Thomas Moore of Perryville; three brothers, Gene Moore of Indiana, Thomas Moore of Chicago, IL, and John Moore of Perryville; two sisters, Mary Parres of Lake St. Louis and Shirley Scheper of Alton, IL.

He was a foreman at International Shoe, and a US Army veteran.

He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, the VFW and American Legion, and was a past member of the Knights Of Columbus.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, November 19th at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. VFW service begins at 6:30 p.m., and Parish prayers at 7. Visitation continues at the funeral home from 6:30-9:50 a.m. Thursday, November 20th. The Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m.

Funeral Mass for Eldon Moore of Perryville will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 20th, 2008 at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. David Nations will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery with military graveside honors provided by American Legion Post 133.
