Annual Eagle Fest kicks off Thursday at Chester Eagles

The 2008 edition of Eagle Fest on the grounds of the Chester Eagles Aerie #3252 on Hacker Street will begin tomorrow.

J & J Magic Midway Rides and Concessions will kick off the three day event as their rides will be open from 6pm to 10pm. Advanced discounted armband coupons for $10 are still available at the Eagles or at Buena Vista National Bank. The cost will go up $2 per armband if you buy them at Eagle Fest. There will be four sessions for the armband coupons. Armband sessions will be next Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6pm to 10pm with an additional session on Saturday from 1pm to 5pm.

A Co-Ed volleyball tournament will be held again during Eagle Fest. For more information or to register, you can phone Stacey Search at 826-3660.

Live music will be featured on Friday and Saturday. On Friday night, the Big Boss Blues Band will entertain from 8pm to midnight. On Saturday, Steve Kirn’s One Man Band will entertain from 4pm to 6pm and later that night, Voyager will hit the stage at 8pm.

There will be plenty of food, soda and ice cold beer throughout Eagle Fest. One stand will feature fish, soda and water and the proceeds from that stand will benefit the new Stinger stencil for W.O. Smith Field at Chester High School.

There will also be a 50/50 drawing held on Friday and Saturday night and fairgoers can buy a chance on a three-in-one outdoor modular grill. Proceeds from that raffle will benefit the Eagle Scholarship Fund.

KBDZ 93.1 FM is a proud Gold Sponsor of the Eagle Fest.
