May 20, 2008 Chester City Council meets The Chester City Council met in regular session Monday night at city hall. At the meeting, the council approved a proposal from Rob Roy Nursery of Perryville for landscaping around the new Cohen Complex sign. The total cost of the proposal is $420.70. The proposal was recommended to the council by the Park Board. The council discussed streets and alleys to be oiled and chipped but no official action was taken. The tornado siren will sound in Chester should a tornado warning be issued for eastern Perry County, MO, southern Randolph County or northwestern Jackson County.
