May 15, 2008 School year starting to wind down in Chester There is just over two weeks of school remaining for most students in Chester. St. John Lutheran School will be the first school to dismiss for the summer break. Students there will have their final day of school this Friday before breaking for the summer. Meanwhile, the other parochial school, St. Mary’s Catholic, will hold their final day of school this year on Wednesday, May 28. 8th grade graduation for students at Chester Grade School is set for Thursday, May 22 at 8pm in Daniel Colbert Gym at Chester High School. The Class of 2008 will attend classes for what will be their final day of school on Wednesday, May 21. Commencement exercise for the 122nd graduating class of Chester High School will be held on Sunday, May 25 at 3pm in Daniel Colbert Gym at CHS. Underclassmen at Chester High School will take their final semester exams on Tuesday, May 27 and Wednesday, May 28. Turn-around day and the final day of school at both Chester High and Chester Grade Schools will be Friday, May 30. |
