Number of awards handed out during CHS Spring Concert

In addition to the great music and performance by the CHS Band and Chorus students Tuesday night in Colbert Gym, a number of awards were also handed out during the night’s festivities.

For band, the 2008 Arion award winners were Ryan Cross and Jessica McAdams. Zach Slavens was awarded the Chester Music Patrons Band Campership while Garrett Rickenberg was the runner-up.

The Wayne Thorne Memorial Award went to Ryan Martin while the Frederick Allmeyer Memorial Award was presented to Brad Frazer.

A total of 22 seniors were presented with Four Year Senior Awards. They are Joe Brooks, Kristin Brown, Alex Capps, Amanda Casten, Joel Clements, Ryan Cross, Jennifer Gonzalez, Zach Gross, Tison Holley, Chris Kern, Kevin Koeneman, Chris Mackey, Ryan Martin, Jessica McAdams, Christine McClure, Alex Nordmeyer, Marcus Pitts, Brittany Rucker, Brandon Wham, Lenzi Yankey, Alex Young and Tyler Young.

For the Chorus Awards, Christine McClure and Kevin Koeneman picked up the Arion Awards. The Chester Music Patrons Chorus Camperships were presented to Mollie Laramore and Sarah Liefer. The chorus campership runners-up were Rachel Young and Adam Lutz.

A total of 14 seniors were presented with Four Year Senior Chorus Awards. They are Joe Brooks, Amanda Casten, Joel Clements, Julie Fricke, Tiffany Keeton, Kevin Koeneman, Amber Marchildon, Jessica McAdams, Christine McClure, Eric Morrison, Lauriel Wingerter, Ashley Yankey, Elizabeth Young and Tyler Young.

The final set of awards was for the high school’s drama department. The Outstanding Vocal Performance was presented to Christine McClure for Beauty and the Beast. The Outstanding Characterization award went to Kevin Koeneman for Beauty and the Beast. Another Outstanding Characterization award was presented to Ryan Martin for Beauty and the Beast and the Most Improved Performance went to Adam Lutz for Beauty and the Beast.

Three Director’s Awards for Commitment and Dedication were presented to Jessica McAdams, Yasmin Darwish and Eric Morrison for Beauty and the Beast.
